This is my vintage tag for Day 2!

For this tag I applied chalk directly to the paper with cotton balls.  I continued to apply chalk, until I achieved the desired results.  A beautiful vintage background….Easy Peasy…Right?

Here is my ATC for Day 1!

I created my festive green background by rubbing multiple layers of chalk all over my white cardstock with cotton balls.  Pretty easy to get just about any color background you need with these chalks.  Ok, I must admit that I do not have any St.Patrick's Day themed stamps.  But, I was browsing Marh Fish's - Stampin Pretty Blog, and I saw this beautiful card that she designed with a heart punch.  Now, I know this may not be news to some, but it was a sigh a relief for me!  LOL Thanks Mary!  I also embossed my hearts with a cuttlebug embossing folder, and my sentiment is computer generated.

Beautiful Chalk Background

For my card this week, I created  this lovely background with chalk, and a stencil.  I simply placed the stencil on top of my cardstock, then I used cotton balls to apply the chalk.  Such an easy technique, with wonderful results.

Its a beautiful Tuesday  in the DFW area today.  The sun is shining, and it feels divine outside!  I am just taking a moment to appreciate God's beautiful handiwork! I hope that you are having a beautiful day also. I love kraft cardstock, and the colors blue, green, & brown,  I really like the way this card finished up.  There are times, I have a plan or idea, and I go with it.  But there are times I dont like the finished product.  But its all good....its Art from my Heart!  I got this lovely brown trim from the talented Martha @ Creating is Fun.  She has so many lovely embellishments in her shop, so stop by and check it out.  I am sure you will find something, you cant live without!

Chalk for a background!

Its time for Chalk-Ah-Lot Café Challenge #4

Theme:  Use chalk as a background

For my card this week, I used a cotton ball to spread the chalk all over the black cardstock.  Then with an eraser and and a ruler, I removed some of the chalk to create my background.  This beautiful flower from Stamp N Plus Scrap N, was colored with Memento markers, and stamped on glossy cardstock.  I then took a  background stamp, and stamped on top of the flower when it was dry.

Hi There,

Clear Dollar Stamps–New Release

Hello,

Its New Release Day at Clear Dollar Stamps.  We have some beautiful sets that you will love.  You can see all of the new sets on the Clear Dollar Stamps Blog.  I will be showcasing the sets that I designed projects with.  

The first set is All the World by Deedee Anderson.

I love the sentiments and scriptures in this set.  It makes it very versatile, for a variety of project themes.

The next set is Jesus Paid It All

This set says it all, and its perfect for Easter, Thank You, and Encouragement projects.  Digital stamps can be altered in a variety of computer programs.  For this card, all I did was recolor my image and sentiment in MS Word.  Very easy to do, because I am not a computer guru!  LOL
