Something New

Hello,

I attended a stamp convention earlier this year, and I picked up a few things that caught my eye.   You know how you see something being demonstrated and it WOW’s you.  Well, one of those products for me was Dreamweaver Translucent Embossing Paste.  I love the sharp dimension it gives to a project.  For this card, I took a brass stencil that I picked up from Hobby Lobby, and taped it to my cardstock.  Then I colored the image with the fabulous Chalk-Ah-Lot Gem colored powdered chalk, next I applied the Dreamweaver Paste, and finally I removed the stencil sprinkled with glitter, and allowed my image to dry over night.  This chalk is so easy to apply, you will definitely want to check out our upcoming challenges at the Chalk- Ah- Lot Café starting January 8th.  Each week the the design team will be showing projects using this wonderful powdered chalk.  We would love for you to join in the fun with us, and there will be some wonderful prizes up for grabs!

I hope that you all have survived Christmas so far.  I feel like I am still recovering.  But its all good.  I did manage to do a little crafting.  This is my first card using pennants this way.  I always like the look, but I had not tried them.  I pulled out my pennant dies from Whimsy Stamps, and it was so easy to create these.

I cant believe that Christmas Eve is tomorrow!  What I really mean is, I am not ready but its here.  I just wanted to share a little Unity goodness this evening.  My mind has been all over the place, and I still need to hit a few stores in the morning.  I am also sharing this card with Unity Stamps -  Friends With Flair.  I used chalk on my background, and stamped my images with Versamark.

Just sharing a little crafty goodness.  I needed my fix last night after a meeting at my daughters dance school.  Nothing like stamps, ink, and paper!!!!  For my card I used a brand new stamp to me from Sweet N Sassy Stamps - Jesus Is The Reason.  So true, if only we could stay focused on that and not all the other stuff that comes along with this wonderful time of year.

This is my creation for Unity Stamps - Friends With Flair.  You know any reason to ink up Unity Stamps, which seem to arrive at my house weekly!  So this week I used a Donna Downey set that I just received. Its called Donna + Unity = FABric Creations.  I also tried a cool technique that I found on Splitcoast Stampers - Foxy Oxi By Beate Johns.  I love the way this turned out.  Well thats it for me.
